The New York Rangers agreed to terms Wednesday on an entry-level contract with defenseman Tarmo Reunanen.
Reunanen, 21, has played in 93 games over the past three seasons in Liiga, the top professional league in Finland. He had six goals and 19 assists with 40 penalty minutes this past season for Lukko.
Since the 2009-10 season, Reunanen is just one of five Liiga defenseman to record 25 points in their under-21 season or younger. He has represented Finland internationally, most recently this year in four games at the 2019 Euro Hockey Challenge.
The Rangers selected him in the fourth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
