According to a recent report from Marca, Real Madrid’s pursuit of Brazilian star Neymar is said to be the club’s main priority between now and the closure of the summer transfer window. The window is scheduled to close on September 2nd, with the belief being that they are willing to offer Gareth Bale and Keylor Navas in return for the controversial forward.
Sport are reporting, though, that Barcelona have spoken to Neymar’s representatives following the news breaking that Real are interested.
That makes sense given that Barca fans would probably be sick at the thought of Neymar pulling on the famous white shirt of their rivals, but either way, this feels like a very messy deal and has done since the beginning.
With the summer transfer window being in the home straight, we’re still no closer to finding out where this world class goalscorer is going to be playing football next season – and that seems like a shame.
