The Oakland Raiders are set to face the Seattle Seahawks in London on Sunday, and that means one thing: Marshawn Lynch will face his old NFL team for the first time since he returned to the league.

While a star retiring from one team only to jump to another team one season later might make for an awkward reunion in most cases, Lynch isn’t like most cases.

Veteran Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin had a story for ESPN’s Brady Henderson about Lynch that does a very good job of explaining why his former Seahawks teammates still love him.

That is a really cool thing for Lynch to do, and also not that surprising if your knowledge of Marshawn Lynch the person goes beyond his protests of police violence and viral press conferences.

Whether it’s traveling the world to teach children football, selling cars for charity, helping a rookie with his 401(k)giving Oakland youths free haircuts for good grades or comforting a seriously injured teammate through the night, Lynch has a long history of good deeds.

Giving away one backpack is so small in the grand scheme of things, but to do something like that completely unprompted shows just what Lynch can mean to the people who really know him.
