2019 NFL Draft Order: Updated list of selection entering divisional round originally appeared on nbcsportsboston.com
Eight teams are preparing for NFL Divisional Round playoff games this week, but for the 24 franchises that aren’t, preparation for the 2019 NFL Draft is underway.
We now know the order of selection for the first 24 picks in the first round. The Oakland Raiders were quite pleased with the outcome of the NFC wild card playoffs because the Chicago Bears were upset at home by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Bears’ loss would have given them the No. 24 pick in Round 1, but the selection is owed to the Raiders as part of the Khalil Mack trade. Even though the Bears’ season ended in disappointment, it’s probably safe to assume they’d do that Mack trade 10/10 times.
Oakland now has the No. 4 and No. 24 selections in the first round.
The Patriots still don’t know where they’ll land in the draft order. It’s all going to depend on how far they advance in the playoffs.
NFL draft fans should check out Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game between Alabama and Clemson. These two powerhouse programs are expected to send several players to the pros next season.
Here’s the updated NFL Draft order entering the divisional round. The remaining selections (25 through 32) will be determined by the outcome of the playoffs.
2. San Francisco
3. New York Jets
5. Tampa Bay
